Do lip fillers hurt?
Most products actually contain a numbing agent, so it is important to inform your nurse if you have any allergies to anaesthetic We can also use numing cream prior to the injections which will help it feel more comfortable.
Is botox safe?
Every drug has side effects, and Botox is no exception. However, in the rare case where they do occur, they tend to be minor and short-lived. Approximately 3 percent of cases, there can be mild droopiness of the eyelid or eyebrow, which usually goes away within two weeks, and some patients experience slight bruising.
Are there any risks to fillers?
As with all medical treatments, dermal fillers do carry some risks. While these are rare, they should be taken seriously and will be fully discussed at your consulta‐ tion. Risks, such as vascular occlusion (rare, but can lead to tissue necrosis), should be discussed with you before making the final decision to go through with any procedure. It is important to ensure, should an issue arise, that your practitioner is fully able to deal with this in order to avoid further complications. Despite what people say, fillers are not ‘like having your done.
